The Fenimore Woods Comprehensive Improvements Project continues to advance steadily and is well underway. The park stable is in the process of being renovated into park restrooms and storage - as part of the overall improvement project. The park pavilion replacement has also started and is underway. The project will continue over the next couple months with parking lot renovations to follow. As the park project nears completion, updates on openings will be communicated. Until further notice, the pavilion, upper parking lot, and stable areas all remained closed. The project is tentatively slated to be completed in summer 2026
Improvements to the pavilion, stable, and the parking areas will create a more accessible and inclusive park environment, making it easier for all community members to gather, participate, and enjoy the space. We look forward to bringing these improvements to the community and creating a more welcoming park experience for everyone!
Important Notice to Park Users: The Pavilion, Upper Parking Lot, and Stable areas ARE CLOSED. We kindly ask that all park visitors observe and adhere to posted signage, barricades, fencing, and established area closures as various phases of the project continue.

The project will continue to be discussed at all upcoming Parks & Recreation Board Meetings.
Park improvements were authorized for this project by the Board of Commissioners in 2015 per Ordinance 2015-18, which allocated capital funding for several parks and trail improvement projects, of which included Fenimore Woods.
