Information To Neighbors

Informational Notice: Great American Backyard Campout - Saturday May 30, 2026

The Radnor Township Parks & Recreation Department and the Radnor Scouts will be hosting the 12th Annual Great American Backyard Campout on Saturday May 30th starting at 3:00 PM and will continue overnight until Sunday, May 31 at approximately 8:00 AM (rain date is Saturday, June13th/14th)

This event will include activities in the park and an overnight campout. Due to the purposes of traffic, safety, and activity awareness, we are providing notice about this upcoming event. Please note this letter is for informational purposes and the campout event is by registration only. If you are interested in registering for this event, please visit our registration website at www.radnorrecreation.com.

Please be aware that lights and sounds will be generated as a result of the event taking place within the park. At approximately 8:00 PM, there will be a campfire at the park with stories, music, and scouting activity traditions. Also, there will be an increased amount of vehicle traffic throughout the park during the event. For extra safety, the Radnor Township Police Department will be patrolling the park grounds throughout the day and evening. Radnor Fire Company is aware of this event taking place due to the campfire activity.
