Jim started with Radnor Township part time in March of 2000.  On October 19, 2001 the position of Video Coordinator was created and he was appointed as such. In July of 2007 his title and duties changed to the newly created position of  Telecommunications Coordinator, serving in the Information Technology Department under the Information Technology Director.  In June of 2010, his title was changed to Cable, Web & Communications Coordinator, still serving in the Information Technology Department but under the Director of Finance. As of November 12, 2018 his current title is Public Information Coordinator in the Information Technology Department serving under the Finance Department Director.

Some of his duties are:

  • Manages the Government Access Television Channel
  • Produces, directs and films live broadcasts
  • Produces, scripts, directs, films and edits programs & public service announcements
  • Manages the Televised Bulletin Board
  • Webmaster for www.radnor.com
  • Maintains the General Notification & Emergency Alert System
  • Communications and press releases 
  • Photography and video
  • Manages Film Permit Applications
  • Supports the Information Technology Department
  • Recruits local students for internship opportunities
  • Maintains all audio-visual equipment
  • Schedules Room Rentals
  • Maintains the Township Meeting Calendar
  • Township Liaison for the Citizens Communications Council 
  • Chairman of the Radnor Township Workplace Safety Committee
Jim grew up in Radnor and graduated from Radnor High School.  He now resides in Coatesville

There are roughly 168 public Township meetings televised each year   

RTV broadcasts over 5720 hours of public meetings and programming, and 3040 hours of Televised Bulletin Board each year  

Between Comcast and Verizon customers there are almost 13,000 potential RTV viewers
