With freezing temps sticking around, we want to provide some safety tips to keep old man winter from nipping!
Please check on elderly and infirmed neighbors and make sure everyone has a warm place to stay. If you are concerned for your neighbors, relatives or friends, please call 911 and the Radnor Township Police Department will immediately assist anyone in need.
When winter weather hits, please remember sidewalks must be cleared of snow and ice by property owners within 24 hours of snowfall ending. This goes for residents, business owners and tenants. We are a few days out from the storm, but when Radnor experiences an arctic, deep freeze, we often see roads and sidewalks refreezing. If you live or work in a busy pedestrian area, please routinely check sidewalks and apply salt if needed to assure pedestrian safety.
And lastly, be careful when shoveling; walk slowly to avoid slipping, dress properly to avoid frostbite, and if it’s too cold for humans, it’s too cold for many domestic animals. Please allow pets outside only as necessary.
And remember, winter can be fun in Radnor Township! Just remember to stay safe and take care of one another while enjoying the most magical season of all!
