Sunshine, warm temperatures, and the reopening of parks, trails, and restaurants with sidewalk seating are encouraging many of us to enjoy the outdoors after the stay-at-home orders aimed at halting the spread of COVID-19. As you enjoy these personal and social activities, here’s what you need to know:
- Stay home if sick.
- Wear masks in public settings and when around people who don’t live in your household, especially when other social distancing measures are difficult to maintain.
- Use social distancing (stay at least 6 feet away from others).
- Before you go, call and ask what extra prevention strategies they are using, like requiring staff to wear masks.
- Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds when you get home.
The CDC recommends the following guidelines while social distancing during personal and social activities: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/daily-life-coping/personal-social-activities.html
Stay safe and healthy, Radnor Township!
RADNOR TOWNSHIP DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH: Public Health policy remains an important priority of the Board of Commissioners and the community. To this end the Board of Health was established at the very beginning of the 1st Class Township status. The board now consists of 9 members of the community either following careers or having a strong interest in matters of public health. The board meets monthly, except for July and August, and the Township Health Officer reports to them on his activities and acts as a liaison between the board and the Township Administration.
