Radnor Township Says Thank You to Radnor Public Works Sanitation Crews

Public Works Sanitation Thank You

Glad Safety Bags recently launched a national campaign to support sanitation workers and today we say thank you to our very own Radnor Township Department of Public Works. Our Township sanitation crews have been on the frontline during the COVID-19 battle, never missing a trash or recycling pickup and working hard to keep our town clean. Our sincerest thanks goes out to all those working hard to keep our town functioning.

“As most of our residents have sheltered in place for months, we’ve seen our community trash volumes increase,” said Bill White, Radnor Township Manager. “Through the assistance of our Office of Emergency Management, we developed interim protocols to protect our sanitation crews. We also established new guidelines on yard waste and bulk trash pickups. Through these challenging times, Radnor Township Public Works crews have not missed a day of service to our community and we thank them for their outstanding commitment.”

We’re calling on our Radnor friends and neighbors to show a sign of gratitude for our sanitation workers. Please consider making a homemade thank you sign and affixing it to your refuse and recycling cans to bring a good dose of cheer to our hardworking crews. A little thank you goes a long way and we encourage kids and families to get creative! Click Here to view an inspirational “Trash Day Thanks”.

Another way to say thank you to Radnor sanitation workers is by doing your part to safely handle your own trash. Please securely tie all trash bags to protect our sanitation workers from harmful materials. Also, please wash your hands thoroughly before you place the trash bags in cans to ensure you don’t accidentally contaminate the bags.
