SEPTA’s Stadium Station on the Norristown High Speed Line will be open to the public for customer use starting- Monday, January 13th with the first scheduled operating train (4:00 AM) out of 69th Street Transportation Center. There will be posted signage along the NHSL, as well as signage posted at Norristown Transportation Center and 69th Street Transportation Center.
However, the station itself remains unfinished; SEPTA crews and third party forces will be working to finish the inbound ADA accessible ramp by March 1, 2020.
As part of SEPTA’s Rebuilding the System program, this initiative focuses on renewal and reconstruction at customer facilities, as well as travel amenity enhancements at transit stations. By March 1, 2020 SEPTA’s Stadium Station (Ithan Ave.) improvements will include new high-level accessible platforms, customer waiting shelters, retaining walls, signage & lighting upgrades, sidewalk pavement, landscaping and fencing.
