Darby Paoli Road Closure from Godfrey Road to Newtown Road: January 12th – July, 2020

Traffic Alert

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is replacing the culvert at Wig Wam Run on Darby Paoli Road. This culvert is between Saw Mill Road and the driveway to the Farm House at Ardrossan. Darby Paoli Road will be closed from Newtown Road to Godfrey Road. It will not be opened after construction hours. It is a permanent closure for the duration of construction period. The detour as provided by PennDOT is as follows (see attached PDF):


  • Darby Paoli Road to Goshen Road
  • Goshen Road to Route 252
  • Route 252 to St. Davids Road
  • St. Davids Road to Darby Paoli Road
  • The reverse for eastbound motorists

The project is scheduled for a duration of 112 work days.

Upon completion of this project, PennDOT will be replacing the culvert on Darby Paoli Road by the Willows Park. More information on this second project will be posted as provided by PennDOT.

Please use caution and obey traffic signage during this closure. For specific questions, please email the PennDOT project contact, Rich Diguglielmo, at ridiguglie@pa.gov  As always, please do not hesitate to dial 911 if needed.
