It is always nice to communicate with residents and provide updates on township projects, particularly when these projects directly impact Ward 6. As you may know, the Board of Commissioners has authorized funding for park improvement projects at Warren Filipone Park and Bo Connor Park, currently scheduled to occur later this year. Both parks are heavily utilized by Radnor residents and this is an opportunity to make necessary upgrades to the playing fields and parking area. Specifically, the project will address several areas at Warren Filipone Park, including reconstructing the tennis courts, resurfacing the parking lot, and adding new fencing around the tennis courts and baseball fields. At Bo Connor Park, the project calls for improvements to the retaining wall and sidewalks, replacing the bleachers, as well as replacing the fencing at the baseball field (backstop, foul lines, and street). Ms. Tammy Cohen, the Director of Recreation & Community Programming, will review the tentative plans for this project at the next Parks and Recreation Board meeting to be held on July 12th at 6:30pm. The meeting will be held in the Radnorshire Room at the Radnor Township Building. I encourage anyone who is interested in hearing more about these plans at Warren Filipone Park and Bo Connor Park to attend this meeting. There will be time allotted for the public to comment or ask questions, so your voice will be heard. If you are unable to attend the meeting, you can always forward your comments and questions to me at firstname.lastname@example.org or call me at (215) 586-0761. I hope to see you at the meeting on July 12th, 2018. Please click here for the Parks & Recreation Board meeting agenda.
