Police Alert | Recent Vehicle Thefts
The Radnor Police have issued an alert due to recent incidents involving two stolen vehicles and thefts from vehicles in the Bryn Mawr section of the Township. As a result, the Radnor Police are encouraging all residents to take precautions when securing their vehicles.
Vehicle owners are encouraged to make sure all doors are LOCKED upon exiting their vehicle, and at no time should owners lock the ignition keys inside the vehicle, including valet keys. Residents are also encouraged to lock their vehicles even when parked inside a secured garage.
Radnor Police are also asking all residents to be vigilant and call 911 when suspicious persons are observed, especially during overnight hours.
The Radnor Police respects citizens' privacy, civil rights, and civil liberties by emphasizing behavior, rather than appearance, in identifying suspicious activity. Factors such as race, ethnicity, and/or religious affiliation are not suspicious. The public should only report suspicious behavior and situations (e.g., an unattended backpack or package, or someone breaking into a vehicle or restricted area). Moreover, any physical descriptions are based on victim and witness statements provided to the Radnor Police at the time the incident was reported or developed through investigation.
