Dear Radnor Day Camp Parents/Guardians and Prospective Radnor Day Camp Participants Summer 2020,
Thank you to all the parents and campers who joined us for our Radnor Day Camp 2020 Live Virtual Parents Informational Sessions via Zoom on May 4th, May 6th, and May 19th. Understanding the various needs of our camp families has been essential as we plan and prepare for this year’s Radnor Day Camp program, which is shaping up to be a much different summer than previous summers!
When will we know what will be offered for the summer of 2020?
As our focus on the summer 2020 begins to narrow, we anticipate two versions of Radnor Day Camp will be available – Live, Interactive, Virtual Radnor Day Camp and In-Person, Park-Based Radnor Day Camp. This still could change as the Covid-19 Pandemic continues to evolve, but this is our goal. Furthermore, the details for how both versions of Radnor Day Camp will be offered continues to develop each day.
Free-Live Virtual Camp Sessions Tonight!
This evening (Friday, May 29th), we are offering free, live, virtual ‘sample’ camp sessions to all our campers so everyone will have an opportunity to experience this new type of camp format. We have had positive feedback from families, particularly from those who prefer a non in-person version of camp for their children this summer. This evening is going to be a whole lot of fun as our camp staff interacts with RDC campers engages them in some awesome interactive games!
Survey to Camp Families
We will be sending out a comprehensive survey to further gauge interest and desired structure for Virtual Radnor Day Camp and Park-Based Radnor Day Camp. This information will really help us in bringing all our final details together. Please complete this survey no later than Wednesday, June 3rd so we can plan accordingly. Our goal is to have more information available to you the week of June 8th regarding anticipated dates, times, and other information. We realize it may still be difficult for families to make decisions right now about summer for their children - we here in the Recreation Department are in the same situation in making these decisions for our families with the uncertainty that still exists. However, please try to give us your best intent on what you are looking for this summer.
In-Person Park-Based Camp
As we continue to closely monitor the rapidly changing situation and information provided by the federal and state agencies including the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), the PA Department of Health, and the Governor of Pennsylvania regarding COVID-19, our goal is to deliver Park-Based Radnor Day Camp in accordance with the guidelines that have been put forth to the fullest of our capabilities. Please take note that all information will be subject to change based on many factors associated with the evolving Covid-19 Pandemic.
Refunds/Reminder (to those who are registered)
Please rest assured that since camp will be modified from its traditional delivery at Radnor Elementary School, refunds will be incorporated once we have all the details allocated and you have made your decisions regarding participation. You will not be subject to any refund penalties and do not have to rush your decision making until you feel comfortable. You will still receive a full refund if neither of the options works for you.
Camp Staff Video!
If you have not done so already, please be sure to check out the fun video prepared for the campers and families by the Radnor Day Camp Staff – it’s really neat and came straight from their hearts!
We sincerely thank you for your input and your patience as we strive to make every effort to plan a safe and successful summer camp experience for your children and your families!
Please let me know if you have any immediate questions or concerns – you can reach me at 610-688-5600, x 141 or email@example.com.
Stay Healthy & Safe!
