***UPDATE*** Bank Robbery
Radnor Township has increased the reward in this case to $7000.
The Radnor Police are investigating a bank robbery which occurred at the Bank of America located in Wayne, PA. On 04/07/2017 at 1234 hours a white male 5’10” to 6’0 medium build, red/brown beard and hair, wearing light blue shorts, a gray zip up fleece, blue hat (possibly 76ers logo), and sneakers entered the bank from the east side of the building. The actor went directly to the first teller and presented a demand note which was illegible and in black ink. The actor may have had a physical impediment to his lower jaw and “spoke out of the corner of his mouth”. According to employee witnesses, the actor seemed “shaky’ when he spoke. He demanded large bills and told the teller to “hurry up”. The actor wore white latex gloves for the entire time he was on the premises.
The teller placed the bills on top of the demand note which the actor folded up and used to conceal the money. The actor fled on foot in an eastern direction from the bank. A witness riding as a passenger in a vehicle eastbound on W Lancaster Av saw the male running out of the bank. The witness turned right on Gallagher Rd (near the intersection of Conestoga Rd and W Lancaster Av) and observed the male enter a silver/gold Toyota Camry displaying a license plate which was later identified as being stolen out of Philadelphia. The male continued Gallagher Rd and was not followed by the witness. The Camry appears to be a late 1990’s to early 2000’s model.
The Radnor Police are offering a $7000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the actor. Anyone with additional information are asked to contact Radnor Detectives at 610-688-0503 or email@example.com
