Radnor Trail Extension

RADNOR TRAIL EXTENSION (Website Update #1) February 2017

Next Study Committee Meeting: Wednesday, March 15, 2017

February Work Update:

The initial site clearing to facilitate survey and evaluation of the PennDOT owned right of way (the former P&W rail right of way) east of Radnor-Chester Road, site of the trail extension, was completed in December by Kee Landscaping, Inc. Additionally, Gilmore & Assoc., Inc., consultant to Campbell Thomas & Co., completed the engineering field survey of the right-of-way in February and base survey plans are underway. The Campbell Thomas & Co. design team, including TPW Design Studios, Jeff Case, PE and RETTEW Assoc., Inc., are currently working on the right of way evaluation, schematic design of the trail extension, and schematic design of the proposed culvert which will create an underpass at Radnor-Chester Road. The present goal is to submit Preliminary Design documents to PennDOT by May of 2017.
