Food establishment inspections are conducted by the Township Health Officer Larry Taltoan
Radnor Township has approximately 210 licensed food establishments of various types ranging from Restaurants, Education & Institution, Mobile Vendors, and Temporary Events. Food Safety Inspections are targeted for inspection at least once per year with schools being inspected two times per school year. Additionally, Radnor Township in approximately 2013 began placing Food Safety Inspections online for consumer review in compliance with the PA Department of Agriculture recommendation. The recent June 15, 2015 adoption of the 2013 Food Code is more stringent whereas a Food Establishment must post a sign or placard in a location conspicuous to the consumer, informing the consumer that a copy of the most recent Food Safety Inspection Report is available upon request or post the actual report in the facility.
Disclosure:Please remember that any inspection is a 'snapshot' of the day and time of the inspection. An inspection conducted on any given day may not be representative of the overall, long-term cleanliness of an establishment. Also, at the time of the inspection, violations are recorded but are often corrected on site prior to the inspector leaving the establishment.
