Veterans Park, formerly known as St. Davids Community Park, has an exciting planning project underway to honor Veterans, educate visitors, and improve various features of the site. In 2014, members of the American Legion Post 664 and Radnor Township staff worked closely with members of the community to develop a conceptual plan that maintains a significant amount of the park's current qualities.
The conceptual plan was presented to both the The Parks and Recreation Board and to the Board of Commissioners in March 2014. The plan was developed by Simone Collins Landscape Architecture.
Subsequent meetings took place with the neighbors of the park in late April to discuss and review the plan and a few changes were made and incorporated, all of which were shared with the Parks & Recreation Board and the park neighbors in July 2014.
Please see below for the final plan and click here for the presentation made to neighbors and members of the public in July 2014.
A fundraising effort is currently underway by Radnor Township to fund the park's proposed changes.
